PROFESSIONAL AND STAFF SERVICES
Our
staff typically renders a minimum 50 to 80 person-hours of service for each
traditional funeral. These services include the availability and
work performed by our Funeral Directors and support staff on behalf of
the Client.
These services are provided on a 24-hour-per-day,
seven-day-per-week basis. The Funeral Directors and support staff
are available on all statutory holidays. We do not charge
additional fees for work performed after regular business hours or on
statutory holidays. The greatest cost in providing funeral
services is directly due to the fact we, unlike most privately owned
businesses, must be available at all times of the day and night.
There is not one single day in a year when there are less than two
staff members on-duty and on-call.
Further, our firm provides a 24-hour-per-day
emergency response service for the Coroner's Office. We are
responsible for the transfer of all remains in our operating
area. This means we respond to calls from: hospitals, nursing
homes, the Ontario Provincial Police, Coroners, Doctors and Fire Departments.
These services may also include: staffing, cleaning
and maintaining our facility and grounds; maintaining our fleet of
vehicles; staffing offices; and providing 24-hour-per-day,
